TDF/One is a private ownership programme built around genuine Formula 1® chassis, re-engineered to deliver an authentic World Championship driving experience.
Each TDF/One chassis is hand-selected and meticulously inspected by our experts at TDF to verify its authenticity and history. It is then fitted with a TDF-developed powertrain, re-engineered systems and customisation options that allow the car to be driven as intended, without diluting performance or character.

MARUSSIA VIRGIN, MVR02, EUROPE
This car began life as the original TDF/One development chassis, re-engineered and fully re-specified for its first private owner. It was originally a Marussia Virgin MVR02, raced seven times during the 2011 Grand Prix season by Jérôme d’Ambrosio.
The owner came to TDF with a clear and very personal vision for the car’s livery. Working closely with the team, this translated into a distinctive silver, black and red design with bespoke graphics and exposed carbon fibre elements. The brief extended beyond the car itself, including simulator training and driver coaching.
MARUSSIA VIRGIN, MVR02, AUSTRALIA
This chassis is a 2011 MVR02 from Marussia Virgin Racing, raced in thirteen Grand Prix during the 2011 season by Jérôme d'Ambrosio. After chassis 01 was damaged in Montreal, it was brought into service mid-season and ran through to the final round.
The build started with an open brief. Through a number of design iterations, it evolved into its final specification: Electrico Blue with Nürburgring Argento accents and exposed gloss carbon. The cockpit was tailored precisely to fit, including a moulded seat, custom pedal position, and personalised steering wheel. The result is a car with a clear, personal identity that also remains true to its original Grand Prix history.
MARUSSIA VIRGIN, MVR02, NORTH AMERICA
This was the first customer car delivered under the TDF/One programme, marking an important milestone for TDF. During the 2011 season it competed in thirteen Grand Prix with Timo Glock behind the wheel and was also tested throughout the year by Jérôme d'Ambrosio, Robert Wickens, Adrian Quaife-Hobbs and Charles Pic. Delivered to a private facility in the United States, the car was spec’d by an internationally recognised designer known for his distinctive and highly individual approach to commissioning cars, from historic icons to modern hypercars.
Finished in Shadow Chrome, a colour more commonly associated with McLaren, and paired with exposed carbon fibre, the final specification is both deliberate and striking.

How much does a TDF/One cost?
The TDF/One starts from £1.25m. As every car is individually engineered, we create a bespoke package around your vision.
The core programme includes everything required for track use — your equipment, engineering support, and a full design process with our team to create your personalised TDF/One specification.
Can you drive a TDF/One on the road?
No—the TDF/One is engineered exclusively as a Formula 1®–derived track car.
Road conversion would remove too much of the performance DNA that defines it, and the 25mm ride height alone makes road use impractical. The car is designed to be experienced in its purest form on circuit.

Are there restrictions on driver size?
We tailor each TDF/One to its owner.
Pedals, steering position, seating, and control layout are all custom-fitted, replicating the level of precision a Formula 1® driver would receive.
While chassis dimensions set natural boundaries, our available chassis stock allows us to accommodate a wide range of driver sizes comfortably.
Is the TDF/One hard to drive? Do I need previous experience?
The TDF/One is designed to make this level of performance accessible.
The car can be set up across various performance windows, allowing new and experienced drivers to enjoy it confidently.
With adjustable power delivery, custom car parameters, and optional driver coaching and fitness support, we take owners from their first track session through to driving their Formula 1®-spec car on circuits worldwide.
Can I specify a V8 or V10 engine in a TDF/One?
As part of the TDF/One programme, no, but if you are looking for a car with a specific engine we can help you procure a chassis and offer a bespoke build through TDF/Works.
The TDF/One is engineered as a complete, integrated package to provide customers with a track-ready car. To make that possible, the chassis, engine, gearbox and control systems have been developed specifically to work together. Because of that, alternative engines such as a V8 or V10 are not offered as part of the TDF/One programme itself.
Can I buy a TDF/One chassis without the engine or gearbox?
TDF/One is delivered as a fully engineered, track-ready car.
However, if your goal is to buy an historic Formula 1–era chassis, either as a rolling show piece or to install an alternative powertrain, then we can still help. We regularly procure chassis in rolling specification, complete with as many original components as possible, specifically for this purpose.
Once secured, the car enters our TDF/Works department where we engineer the project entirely around your brief. This can include integration of a naturally aspirated high-revving engine, bespoke gearbox pairing and bellhousing design, electronics and control systems, full chassis restoration on a component-by-component basis and complete testing and track validation.
Do you support owners once the restoration is complete?
Yes. TDF/One offers ongoing preparation, maintenance, and trackside support to ensure each car performs as intended.
Through TDF/Events, owners also gain access to driving opportunities around the world, which helps protect both the enjoyment and long-term value of their cars.
Do you deliver globally?
Yes. We work with clients all over the world and have extensive experience shipping high-value, multimillion-pound vehicles and components to any destination.
Through our specialised freight partners and in-house logistics expertise, we manage or support the full movement process—whether it’s a complete car, a chassis, precision-engineered parts, or technical equipment.
